Valerie Juillerat

Local author Valerie Juillerat, known for her inspirational book Finding Hope When Storms Don’t Cease, was recently honored as an Author of the Year finalist at the prestigious Author of the Year 2025 Gala in Hollywood, California – an event often referred to as “The Oscars for Authors.”

Hosted by the International Impact Book Awards, the event brought together writers from around the world to celebrate excellence in literature and inspirational storytelling. Juillerat’s book – an honest and faith-filled testimony of enduring life’s most difficult storms – continues to reach readers who seek encouragement and renewed faith.

“It was an incredibly special moment for me,” said Juillerat. “I was asked by a family member if I was nervous. Oddly enough, I was very calm considering. Getting to speak to other authors to encourage them and spur them on to share their stories while sharing my own was an incredibly special moment for me. That’s what I want to spend my days doing going forward – elevating authors who carry God’s message through story by developing the International Christian Book Awards. It felt exhilarating and empowering all at the same time.”

As a finalist, Juillerat shared the stage with many accomplished authors, later reflecting, “I was honored to be a finalist and sit among so many talented authors.”

Juillerat’s mission extends beyond her own writing. As Founder and CEO of the International Christian Book Awards, she continues to spotlight authors who share messages of hope, redemption, and God’s transformative power through their books.
