Harmony Home Community Thrift store officially cut the ribbon to their new store in downtown Huntington on Thursday, October 9. The new store is located 45 E. Market Street.
The new store offers used clothing and other essentials for the family and home. Donations are what keeps the store going and they say they cannot thank everyone enough for their donations. All proceeds go towards Harmony Home’s 12-step program for men. If anyone is interested in donating items to the store or sponsoring one of the guys, please stop in during business hours. The store is open on Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Harmony Home of Huntington is a 12-step recovery home for men. They offer a unique experience for men seeking recovery from alcohol and/or drug addiction. They are committed to providing each resident a safe and supportive environment creating the opportunity for rehabilitation and lifelong sobriety. The program duration ranges from nine to 18 months. Their structured approach to building a strong and lasting foundation for recovery is based on a 12-step philosophy of daily living and includes relapse prevention training, addiction education and group therapy.
