The Huntington County Humane Society is currently recruiting professionals to serve on its board of directors. Interested individuals can make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals by committing his/her professional and personal experiences, education, skills and time toward helping the Humane Society continue its critical mission and achieve its goals.

General expectations include attendance to one evening meeting per month, as well as unique contributions to specialized shelter activities, functions and/or fundraisers.

The Huntington County Humane Society is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides a variety of services to the people and animals of Huntington County. Every year, they care for over 1,000 homeless, injured, or owner-relinquished animals in the community and provide them with compassion, shelter, life-saving medical care and adoption services.

Their mission is simple: they are dedicated to protecting and providing for the animals who need them most through their unique services, programs and educational offerings. They are seeking board members who share their passion for animal and community welfare and will help them continue to make Huntington County an even better place for its citizens – both two-legged and four.

Interested individuals should email Katy Hudson, board president, at khudson@huntingtonhumane.org. Please include your contact information, unique experience or qualifications, and why you would like to serve on the board of directors.
