One of the area’s largest and most prestigious car shows, Rolling Into Roanoke, returns to downtown Roanoke on Saturday, September 19.
The annual event will feature classic and specialty cars throughout downtown Roanoke, Roanoke Park and surrounding areas, bringing car enthusiasts and visitors together for a day of automobiles, music and nostalgia.
This year’s Rolling Into Roanoke will take a trip back to the 1950s and 1960s, celebrating the cars, culture and music that helped define an unforgettable era.
The 1950s California surf scene gave teenagers a new musical voice, with rock ’n roll providing the soundtrack. Among the most popular and enduring groups of that era were The Beach Boys, whose music and unmistakable “beach” identity helped define the California sound.
Visitors can expect Rolling Into Roanoke to capture the spirit and nostalgia of those decades while showcasing an impressive collection of automobiles.
Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, September 19, and make plans to visit Roanoke for a day filled with classic cars, great music and a celebration of the past. For more details visit their Facebook page.
