Chamber offers heartfelt thanks to community

Huntington Heritage Days 2026 was a tremendous success, made possible by the many dedicated volunteers who generously contributed their time, talents and resources. The staff of the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped make this year’s celebration such a memorable event.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Heartland REMC for serving as the corporate sponsor of Heritage Days, and helping make this community celebration possible for all to enjoy. Despite weather conditions that ranged from warm and hot to cool and windy, the events were carried out successfully and enjoyed by many.

We are grateful to the City of Huntington administration for its continued support, as well as the Huntington County Commissioners and Huntington County government for the use of the County Annex. Special thanks go to Thomas Fuller and the Huntington County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), along with Phil Hibbert of Huntington County, for providing the use of their Gators throughout the event.

We would also like to recognize Superintendent Chuck Brimbury and Justin Schafer for allowing the carnival workers to utilize Flint Springs Elementary School as their campground during the week. Our appreciation extends to Tim Bischoff and the City Street Department, the Huntington Police Department, the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department, the Disaster Team and EMA personnel for their efforts in ensuring the safety and success of the celebration.

A special thank you goes to Terry Miller, Boy Scout Troop #130, and the troop’s dedicated leaders for their assistance with cleanup efforts. We are also extremely grateful to Brenda Holzinger and Danny Stoffel of H&H Disposal for generously providing four dumpsters throughout the festivities, helping us keep Huntington clean and welcoming during the event.

We would like to thank the many individuals and organizations who coordinated and supported Heritage Days activities, including the Little Miss Pageant organizers, Chief’s Breakfast volunteers, Rotary Strawberry Feed volunteers, Wise Guys Downtown for the Brat Tent, car show organizers, parade volunteers, the Women of the Moose, hot air balloon coordinator Chris Smart and his pilots and the JeFFFest organizers and volunteers.

The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce is deeply appreciative of the community members who attended and supported the many events and activities that made Heritage Days 2026 such a success. We also extend our thanks to Greenbear Photography and Big Dog Photography for capturing so many wonderful moments throughout the celebration.

Finally, thank you to everyone who visited the carnival and enjoyed the rides, food and entertainment. Your participation is what makes Heritage Days a true community celebration.
