The Huntington County community is invited to join the Warren community as they honor and celebrate veterans. The celebration will be held on Sunday, November 7 at the Knight-Bergman Center, Warren.

An invitation is extended to all veterans, active-duty military and their families and past veterans’ families to attend.

The patriotic ceremony begins at 5 p.m. serving up a complimentary dinner followed by an “Armed Forces Tribute.” The community is invited to share their talents on Sunday evening, by playing an instrument, singing a special song, sharing a favorite verse, creating a skit or making desserts … talents that are shared to show love and to honor veterans during their Homecoming Celebration.

Those who would like to attend should contact Gina to be scheduled for talent, via email, gina@wssbps.com, or call (260) 917-1707. Officially, Veterans Day is Thursday, November 11. The goal is to show all veterans love and support, in order to help bring awareness to the upcoming Veteran’s Day.

Volunteers would be appreciated for cooking, serving, singing and entertainment. Those in attendance can feel welcome to wear military uniforms. Pictures in military uniform or “in action,” branch of service, along with the dates of when and where service takes place or where an individual has served will be displayed on the screen during the event.

Photos and information may be dropped off to be scanned and returned to individuals at Bolinger’s Propane Service, 121 N. Wayne Street, Warren. The items and information are needed by 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 3.
