Truitt Law Offices is once again giving local educators the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved getaway through its annual Teacher Cruise Giveaway. For the third consecutive year, the law firm will award one deserving teacher an all-expenses-paid, five-day cruise for two as a way of recognizing the dedication and positive impact educators make in their schools and communities.
The annual giveaway was created to show appreciation for teachers who go above and beyond to inspire, encourage and support their students every day.
Previous winners include Heather Kauffman, a special needs teacher at Horace Mann Elementary, Huntington, who received the 2024 giveaway, and Ms. Sakinovic of Heritage Elementary in Monroeville, Indiana, part of East Allen County Schools, who was selected as the 2025 winner.
Community members who know an exceptional teacher are encouraged to submit a nomination. Teachers are also welcome to nominate themselves for the opportunity to win.
To enter, visit the Teacher Cruise Giveaway nomination page and complete the nomination form. All nominations and entries must be submitted by November 29. The 2026 winner will be selected during the week of November 30.
The winning teacher will receive a five-day cruise for two, with the flexibility to choose travel dates that best fit their schedule.
“Teachers make a lasting difference in the lives of their students and throughout our communities,” is the message behind the initiative. Through the giveaway, Truitt Law Offices hopes to recognize the hard work, compassion and dedication educators demonstrate every day, both inside and outside the classroom.
The firm believes educators play an essential role in shaping the future, and this annual tradition is one small way to say thank you for the time, talent and commitment they give to helping others succeed.
Through the Teacher Cruise Giveaway, Truitt Law Offices hopes to give one deserving educator more than just a vacation – it hopes to provide an opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy a memorable experience they truly deserve.
The Huntington County Chamber of Commerce sincerely appreciates Truitt Law Offices for continuing this meaningful tradition. Teachers give so much of themselves to their students and our community, often without receiving the recognition they deserve. This is a wonderful way to say thank you and shine a light on the dedication, compassion and hard work of these outstanding educators.
