The members of the United Way of Huntington County board of directors are excited to announce Sarah Kemp has been hired as executive director of the United Way of Huntington County. She began her duties on April 10.
Kemp joins the United Way after 11 years working as a case manager in the Huntington County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Prior to moving to Indiana, Kemp worked six years for the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Social Services District in Harrisonburg, Virginia, serving as a foster care social worker for three years, senior social worker for two years and supervisor for a year. She has also worked as a probation officer and an adult mental health case manager.
Kemp holds bachelor degrees in social work and psychology from Olivet Nazarene University. She resides in Huntington and enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors with her friends and neighbors and participating in the Huntington University Symphonic Band.
