Local artist honors family heritage with mural

The mural above depicts Eiffel Plasterer, affectionately known as “Professor Bubbles” or “The Bubble Man,” alongside local artist and his great-granddaughter, Lorry Plasterer, as well as JJ’s owners’ granddaughters, Aubree and Emma.

JJ’s is proud to announce the completion of a vibrant new mural at their location at 2840 Guilford Street, positioned alongside the JJ’s Java drive-through. The artwork, created by talented local artist Lorry Plasterer, serves as a deeply personal tribute to family agriculture history, and a celebration of the Huntington County community.

The mural prominently features Eiffel Plasterer, widely known and beloved as “Professor Bubbles” or “The Bubble Man,” who was the artist’s great-grandfather.

The composition features towering sunflowers grown by Justin Dennis, who is a cousin of the JJ’s owners, alongside Eiffel’s sorghum – paying homage to the once thriving Plasterer’s Sorghum Mill. Incorporating another heartwarming element, the artwork also depicts the owners’ children alongside their pony, further grounding the piece in the family-oriented spirit of the community.
