The Community Foundation of Huntington County announces that the application for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship is now open. This scholarship is for high school seniors graduating in 2024.

This opportunity requires four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private nonprofit college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It provides full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for up to four years.

To be eligible for the Lilly Endowment Scholarship, applicants must reside in Huntington County and be on track to graduate by the end of June of the current school year with a diploma from an accredited Indiana high school. Applicants should be planning to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall of 2024 as a first-time freshman at an accredited public or private college or university in Indiana. Finalists must also agree to being interviewed by the Community Foundation of Huntington County’s Scholarship Committee.

A Letter of Intent (LOI) has now been added to the Lilly Scholarship process. Applicants must first complete and submit a LOI by no later than 11:59 p.m., Thursday, August 17. Applicants whose LOI’s are approved will be invited to complete a full Lilly Scholarship application. Students can begin the application process at www.huntingtonccf.org/lilly. A list of evaluation criteria is provided on the website as well.
