The Huntington North Learning Center hosted a Community Open House and ribbon cutting for the Huntington North Construction Trades Program on Thursday, May 14. The event was sponsored by the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce, Community Foundation of Huntington County, Bowen Health and the Huntington North Learning Center, where the event honored students and sponsors for their hard work and support.
The event began at 4 p.m. at 824 S. Jefferson Street for an open house style of event where students showed their families and the community the home they have worked on this academic year. At 4:45 p.m., the festivities transitioned to 245 Riverside Drive, to showcase the 2026-27 project. The program began at 5:15 p.m., and recognized the students.
“The support of our partners to include the Community Foundation of Huntington County, Pathfinder and Bowen Health has been critical to building and sustaining our Construction Trades program over the past three years; quite simply, we would not be where we are today without them,” said Dave Harvey, Construction Trades instructor.
“We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our Construction Trades students this year,” said Huntington North Learning Center principal Tiffanney Drummond. “Their dedication, strong work ethic and commitment to developing new skills have made these achievements possible. They are a valuable asset to our community, and we look forward to celebrating their success.”
The Huntington North Learning Center is located at 2201 N. Jefferson Street. You can reach them by calling (260) 356-2858 or by email at tdrummond@hccsc.k12.in.us.
