The Huntington Arts & Entrepreneurial Center (HAEC) has joined forces with Jill Hockemeyer, founder of Joyful Creations Studio, to launch the Kindermusik program in Huntington.

Kindermusik at HAEC is a recurring, mixed ages class for a guardian and child. Children between the ages of one and four years of age will learn about socialization, body awareness, listening and communication skills. Class activities stimulate language, literacy and cognitive development.

Jill attended Kindermusik classes with her children and saw many developmental benefits. She witnessed firsthand how music has positively impacted her own children’s lives. This experience inspired Jill to become a Kindermusik licensed educator. Now she combines her passions of working with young children, her love of music and connecting young families.

Kindermusik is the world’s leading provider of music-based education for children from birth through age seven. Since 1978 Kindermusik has helped millions of children worldwide build a strong foundation for a lifetime of love and learning.

Kindermusik offers a monthly membership that includes a weekly in-person class, song downloads, musical eBooks, educational videos & games and parenting tips for guardians. Activities are designed to encourage multi-sensory learning and are an excellent way for children to interact with peers and engage in movement, rhythm and vocal exercises.

Kindermusik at HAEC will begin on Thursday, September 8, from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. The cost is $60 per month per family. Families can find more information and register online at artsincluded.org/events.
