Heritage Pointe Communities in Indiana is continuing to grow – and so are its leaders. Terrence Jent and Kayla Malott are stepping into new roles as part of the organization’s expansion and ongoing commitment to providing exceptional senior care.

The senior living portfolio of Heritage Pointe Communities includes Heritage Pointe of Warren, Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne, Heritage Pointe of Huntington, and its newest acquisition, Elizabeth Scott Community in Maumee, Ohio.

Terrence Jent, formerly the executive director of Heritage Pointe of Warren, has been promoted to vice president of operations for Heritage Pointe Communities. In this role, Jent will oversee operations across multiple campuses, helping shape how they run and cultivating a consistent culture across all locations.

“My goal is to ensure every community has the systems and staff in place to provide the best possible care to our residents,” he says.

Jent will be a familiar face at each Heritage Pointe campus, making regular visits to build relationships with staff, residents and families. “It’s great to work closely with the other managers and to be present in all of our communities,” he adds.

Alongside Jent, Kayla Malott is preparing to step into the role of executive director for the Warren community this summer. Malott, currently serving as the residential living director for assisted living in Warren, has been training side-by-side with Jent in preparation.

“It’s a great experience to learn from Terrence,” she says. “I’m learning the many responsibilities of the role and what it means to be an executive director.”

Malott brings years of experience in senior care, having served as director of nursing and as an administrator. She is a licensed residential care administrator and is currently studying to become a licensed health facility administrator.
