The Huntington County Community Foundation awarded $1,350 to support Kindermusik at the Huntington Arts & Entrepreneurial Center (HAEC.) These funds will provide financial assistance and scholarship opportunities for families wanting to participate in this incredible experience but cannot afford the cost of the class.

Kindermusik is the world’s leading provider of music-based education for children from birth through age seven. Since 1978, Kindermusik has helped millions of children worldwide build a strong foundation for a lifetime of love and learning.

Kindermusik offers a monthly membership that includes a weekly in-person class, song downloads, musical eBooks, educational videos and games and parenting tips for a guardian and child. Activities are designed to encourage multi-sensory learning and are an excellent way for children up to five years of age to interact with peers and engage in movement, rhythm and vocal exercises.

“We are thankful for the support received from the community funds that were established at the Huntington County Community Foundation by Dr. Ron and Judy Frischman, Helen and Frederick Krueger and Margaret Krueger and John and Midge Decker. These funds allow us to host a valuable arts program for our youngest audience at the HAEC,” says Katy Strass, director of Huntington Arts and Entrepreneurial Center.

The Kindermusik program at HAEC will begin in September and continue to offer scholarships through December 2022. Classes will be held every Thursday evening with 40 minutes of cognitive development activities. Families will be able to start registering for the program in July of 2022.
