The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that through its 2026 scholarship process, 165 individual scholarships, totaling $468,280, were awarded to local students. The Foundation is honored to uphold the legacies of generous donors passionate about investing in Huntington County students. These invaluable scholarships will support students’ educational ambitions and career goals.
“This award cycle was a powerful reminder that the future is bright,” noted Foundation Program Manager, Amber Rensberger. “We had the privilege of supporting exceptional students whose hard work, leadership and determination continue to inspire our community, and none of it would be possible without the generosity of donors who believe in investing in tomorrow’s leaders.”
Among the scholarship recipients, 54 were graduating high school seniors, 41 are students currently enrolled in college, and five are preparing to enter graduate school. Scholars represented several communities across Huntington County. Thirteen scholars reside in Warren, four in Andrews, two in Markle, 10 in Roanoke and over 60 applicants represent Huntington overall.
The Foundation deeply appreciates the generosity of valued donors who have established scholarships to invest in the success of local students. These scholarships represent more than financial support; they are a reflection of the donors’ lives, stories, passions and impact on our community. We are pleased to honor their legacies through the cultivation of their scholarships.
Individual scholarship announcements can be viewed on the Foundation’s Facebook page. For more application and eligibility information on Community Foundation Scholarships, visit the website.
