As the United States of America approaches its 250th Birthday, Heritage Days 2026 in Huntington will celebrate this special event June 10 through 14. Our patriotism and devotion to our country will be carried out in the activities of “America’s 250th Celebration,” and with the colors of red, white and blue.

The celebration begins with the Little Miss Heritage Days pageant on Wednesday evening, June 10 at Crestview Middle School. The carnival also begins that evening. Thursday begins with the Chief of the Flint Springs Tribe breakfast and follows with the traditional Strawberry Feed by the Rotary Club at the Huntington County Fairgrounds. Friday evening will include the Downtown Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show along with the Brat Tent in the parking lot behind Wise Guys Downtown.

The parade on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. promises to be a very extraordinary parade with special bands and floats. Participants in the parade are encouraged to decorate their floats or entries in accordance with the theme and respective colors. There are many historical events related to 1776 that can be represented.

The car show, Kids Zone and Hot Air Balloon Fest on Saturday at Huntington North High School will also carry out the theme. At this time, several hot air balloons are scheduled to grace the skies of Huntington during the fest. Two of these balloons have very patriotic owners whose hot air balloons display the United States flag.

JeFFFest will conclude Heritage Days 2026 on Sunday evening on Franklin Street in front of the Art Center. Many other events will take place amidst Heritage Days. Be sure to pick up a brochure detailing the events, and get your “America’s 250th Celebration” badge. Visit huntington-chamber.com for more information.
