The Huntington County law firm of Bowers, Brewer, Garrett & Wiley, LLP has announced the winners of their 2022 educational scholarships. Josie Eckert, Carson Kitchen and Madison Milton received scholarships to be used toward their continuing education.

Josie Eckert, right, is the daughter of Matt and Heather Eckert, Huntington, and will be majoring in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in business, at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Eckert has been active at Huntington North High School in Class Council, Student Athletic Board, varsity golf, Rotary Interact Service Club and National Honor Society. She has also been involved with Blessings in a Backpack, Huntington Youth Leaders Spirit of Giving, Boys and Girls Club, McKenzie’s Hope and Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

Carson Kitchen, left, is the son of Peter and Elizabeth Kitchen, Huntington, and plans to major in Elementary Education at Huntington University. Kitchen has been involved at Huntington North High School in tennis, Class Council, Student Athletic Board, Huntington Youth Leaders and Huntington North Student Section. He has also been involved in Blessings in a Backpack, has been a math tutor, Middle School tennis volunteer coach, Middle School Campus Life leader and a Sunday School teacher.

Madison Milton, center, is the daughter of Brian and Sarah Milton, Roanoke, and plans to attend Huntington University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At Huntington North, Milton has been active in Student Council, Rotary Interact Service Club, Class Council, track and volleyball. She has also been active in Blessings in a Backpack and New Life Meal Ministry.
