LC Nature Park, many activities begin tonight

LC Nature Park, 9744 Aboite Road, Roanoke, announce the many different activities happening at the park during the month of August. You will want to mark your calendars and be sure to attend one or all of the events.

The park is open every Saturday in August from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guided hikes through the dune forest will be at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Safari bus tours will be at 10 a.m., 12 noon and 2 p.m.

Safari Bus Tour, August 29, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Climb aboard the Safari bus for a unique, close-up look at LC Nature Park. Pre-purchased tickets only.

Fireside Friday with Joe Donnell, August 22, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a relaxing evening with live music by the fire. A delightful end to your week. Come out to dance and hang out while enjoying a drink and s’mores around the fire with friends. All ages welcome.

Night Hike: Starry Night, August 22, 9 to 10:30 p.m. Take an evening to enjoy the park in a way you have experienced it before. A magical experience for all ages. Pre-registration is not required but encouraged due to limited spots. For more details, visit LCNP Events Page.
