Purdue Extension Huntington County will offer Dining with Diabetes classes beginning June 3, at 11 a.m. This series will be held for four consecutive weeks on June 3, 10, 17, and 24.

The classes will be held at Love INC in Huntington. The cost for this program will be covered by a grant received by the Huntington County Health and Wellness Coalition from Parkview Huntington Hospital. This program is for individuals with diabetes, or those at risk for diabetes, and their caregivers.

The program is also helpful for friends and family members of those with diabetes or individuals interested in diabetes. In this program, participants will learn how to reduce the health risks of diabetes. Topics covered include food choice, diet planning, healthy cooking, portion control, medical indicator awareness and healthy activity levels for those with diabetes. Participants will be served a light meal with new recipes to try and take home.

Reserve a seat by May 20 by calling the Extension Office at (260) 358-4826 or emailing cneverid@purdue.edu.
