The Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington County is proud to announce it has been awarded a Community Impact Grant from Duke Energy Foundation. This generous funding will directly support the Club’s Character & Leadership programs, empowering local youth with critical life and leadership skills.

“You can’t put a price on developing character and building leadership qualities,” said Jenny Jordan, community relations manager for Duke Energy. “Huntington County will surely benefit from the Boys & Girls Clubs’ continued efforts to make a positive impact on its young people.”

With this grant, the Club will deliver leadership workshops, mentorship opportunities and community service projects to members from kindergarten through high school. These programs are designed to build essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, equipping young people to become confident, responsible leaders both in and out of the classroom.

“Character & Leadership is one of our four core areas of youth development,” said Ashley Allen, chief executive officer, “and thanks to Duke Energy’s support, we can continue to provide meaningful opportunities that help our youth grow into active, engaged citizens.”

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington County uses a nationally recognized Formula for Impact to ensure that every child has access to high-quality programs, caring adult mentors and enriching experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

This investment by Duke Energy not only strengthens the future of our Club members but also positively impacts the broader Huntington County community by nurturing the next generation of leaders.
