July 22nd. Larry Gerig and the crew from Erie-Haven Concrete had their ribbon cutting of their newest plant located in Huntington at the intersection of Hostler Road and Meridian Road. Jeff Paul, a veteran of the concrete business, is the local manager.

The plant not only offers custom mixed concrete but they carry in stock all the tools and equipment needed for the contractor or home owner to do his concrete work; re-bar, shovels boots, forms etc.

Jeff Paul said that they have three mixing trucks located at the Huntington Plant but have access to literally dozens more out of their other plants.

Mark Wickersham of Huntington County United Economic Development presented the Gerig's with a plaque commemorating the occasion then the ribbon was cut and lunch served to those on hand which included the dignitaries and workers from Huntington County and the City of Huntington.
