There are over 100 public officials elected from Huntington County. October 22 at the LaFontaine Golf Club, Chamber Members attended a reception for them. Members and Elected Officials had an opportunity from 5pm until 7pm to mingle and share light snacks. There were representatives from township, towns, city, county and state offices who talked at length to each other.

The purpose of the evening reception was to permit Members to have an opportunity to meet with their elected officials in a non-threatening environment where neither party was advocating a position. By meeting in such a manner, they got the opportunity to meet each other and to get to know one another. This then provides the opportunity so that when the need arises, Members and the Officials have already had the opportunity to get to know each other.
