Bendix Huntington Manufacturing announced the expansion of their Huntington Operation. Two major announcements released the information on the Bendix Commercial Vehicles Systems, LLC. In the first release Joe McAleese, president and CEO of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, LLC an affiliate of Germany based Knorr-Bremse Group, said that Blue Bird has chosen the Huntington operation to manufacture all of its full sized bus modules. Then Mr. McAleese announced that Bendix would be supplying Indiana's Autocar, LLC with the cab modules for its refuse truck division. Mr. Ryan Billet, CFO of Autocar joined in the announcement with an introduction to Autocar and their venture into the filed of extreme use vehicles.

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels and Huntington Mayor Steve Updike added their input to the announcement with the Governor lauding the ability of two Indiana firms to work together in a very competitive operation. Mayor Updike extolled the virtues of the Bendix family in Huntington and presented a plaque to Huntington Plant Manager Mike Pogorelc for the good corporate citizenship demonstrated by Bendix.
